Knife store! Knife store! I got shears with a bone notch.
First, though, Sanwal and I went to the Museum of Flight while Rosie had a run and some quality time with her yarn. I got a sweet hat with the US Army Air Force 1941-1942 logo on it. You’ll see it in a photo later.
After lunch we all reconvened and we walked around Seward Park. It’s a very large park on a peninsula in fresh water, so it was a perfect laid back walk. Seattle is beautiful and the weather was perfect. What does perfect mean? Imagine the best weather, that’s what we had. The herons agreed. We tried having Georgia swim a bit, but as usual she went in up to her thighs and no more.
Dinner was G.H. Pasta. Delicious pasta and pizza, really really good Columbia Valley wine, and great company too. A dog friendly patio with excellent service. Our hosts are very good at this.
The days have been packed full and by the time I sit down to write these, usually right before collapsing into bed, many of the details are fuzzy. But the impressionistic version is something like this: We are keeping busy but at our own schedule; we are eating well and exercising regularly; we are not bored and we are not overstimulated; we are comfortable and we are constantly moving. I’ve heard it said that vacation is supposed to feel like a pause in real life, and we’re getting a hefty dose of pause this week. It’s hard to believe we’ve been gone almost three weeks already, even if we are beginning to talk of the things we miss at home. There’s still plenty more adventure to come before we return to them!
