We had our real estate apps open constantly, and can’t afford to live anywhere, except maybe on a boat. We were ambitious with our hikes, even in thin mountain air. We met our new favorite puppy. We experienced wine country. We climbed mountains and hiked canyons. We camped. We stayed in hotels. We ate out of a cooler. We ate at incredible restaurants. We saw elk and antelope but no bears. We exercised Georgia so she would sleep in the car.

And we are grateful to have the time and means to travel. We are grateful to the people who helped us do it, especially Bess who made sure our house looked presentable and Becky who cared for our plants. What a joy it is to have no worries about our home while we gallivant around; to come home to our comfortable house after so long on the road and have nothing gone wrong. This was a once in a lifetime trip and we will enjoy the memories for the rest of our time together.
