Dayton to Chicago

We’re off. The car is packed to the brim. Literally cannot fit another thing. Georgia has settled on her travel bed and we spent most of the day in the worst state ever. Thanks, Indiana.

Lunch was in a cute state park just off the freeway. Not much going for it as far as parks. But there were so many RVs or trucks hauling campers. We did find a nice path and followed it for a bit.

Richard posed without the pup. She was attached to me. Missed almost all of the nasty weather. And what hit us was just a little pleasant rain. Then we got into the city of Chicago and met Sarah at Humboldt Park. I don’t know what building the fieldhouse used to be, but it’s got some incredible details amongst the vending machines and fitness equipment.

Dinner was a Turkish place. My plate was incredible. Tortellini with a yogurt and chili oil sauce. Richard’s was eggplant wrapped lamb. I left the two of them to take the pup on a walk around the block and would totally move into the glass front walk up. If I only had a million dollars. Plus some more.

The evening ended with a walk around Sarah’s neighborhood, a beer at her local bar, and my Sequence win. The trick is to not remember how to play so your strategy changes every game. Next up: Chicago to St. Paul!
